Update on the proposed sale of Amey
You may have seen in the press that Amey has reached agreement to exit the Birmingham Highways PFI contract.
You may have seen in the press that Amey has reached agreement to exit the Birmingham Highways PFI contract. Amey will continue to provide services until a replacement contractor is found to deliver services on an interim basis. All parties are working closely to ensure the smooth transition of services and staff.
Following the agreement to exit Birmingham, Ferrovial are now seeking buyers for Amey and the process for this will continue for the remainder of the year. As mentioned previously, Amey remains responsible for funding the pension scheme and this will continue to be the case should Amey be owned by Ferrovial or another party.
